Benjamin Grosvenor joins the live line-up at BBC Proms

Benjamin Grosvenor will appear with the Philharmonia Orchestra and conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen at the live BBC Proms this summer.


Benjamin will perform Shostakovich’s First Piano Concerto, bookended by Ravel’s neo-Baroque masterpiece Le tombeau de Couperin and Mozart’s titanic Symphony No. 41.

The concert will take place at 19.30 on Wednesday 9th September 2020, and will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and available to watch on BBC iPlayer. More information.


Benjamin's first appearance at the BBC Proms came in 2011 (aged nineteen) when he was invited to perform with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the First Night. He has returned to the festival many times since, including an appearance at the Last Night of the Proms 2015. More information.
